First text printed on paper

Block Printing
In order to print each word or phrase was carved into a block of wood, dipped in ink, and transferred onto a sheet of paper. This method was used in China that produced money and playing cards which were then sent to the West.This method however after repeated use required a new block to print from. The Printing Press
Johannes Gutenberg was the inventor of the printing press machine. As a blacksmith, he created an alloy of lead which was durable, had a lower melting temperature, and cast well in die. He could then make individual letters that could make words and phrases easily movable and reusable.

Steam pwoered Rotary Printing Press
The previous printer was a flatbed printer and took large amount of time to produce small amounts of text. Richard Hoe created the Rotary printing press which meant papers when ran under rotating cylinders. This dramatically decreased the amount of time it takes to produce the same amount of prints.

Photocopier machine
Chester Carlson first created the process of electro photography which was later renamed Xerography. The xerography process became one of the most well known inventions of the century.

Laser Jet
Paper running through laser printer gets a positive charge so when the ink roller touches the photoreceptor drum it gets coated in ink poweder/ toner. This is how images and texts are created quickly and efficiently. Invented by Gary Starkweather.

3D printing has been being perfected for many years but in recent (1-2) years the industry has bloomed. The 3D printer was created by American engineer, Chuck Hull by using photopolymer material and ultraviolet light to create shapes and designs of any kind.
