Egyptians first soften the thin stripes of Cyprus Papyrus with the Nile waters. Then they form it into a Matt shape. Finally, they pound it flat and dry in the sun. -

Making Paper From Fiber
Around 1985 a further important development was made in the bleaching paper for fibers. First the bleaching with chlorine was replaced with bleaching with chlorinates and chlorine dioxide and after that the development of bleaching process without use of chlorine containing agents, like ozone, oxygen and peroxide. -
