The original Game Boy was released in 1989 and began a long line of successful Game Boy devices by Nintendo. -
Super Nintendo Entertainment System
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System was first released in 1990. The SNES hosted sequels to games which first appeared on the original NES, such as a new Mario bros series, a new Metroid series as well many others. The SNES also featured new game series which would continue on to future Nintendo consoles, like the Nintendo 64. -
Nintendo 64
The Nintendo 64 Was another video game console by Nintendo first released in 1996. It is the successor to the SNES and played 3D games, allowing players to move in more than 4 directions. -
Game Boy Color
The Game Boy Colour is another handheld device from the Game Boy series released in 1998. unlike the original game boy the game boy colour played games with colour. -
Game Boy Advance
The Game Boy Advance was released in 2001. It is the successor to the Game Boy Colour and is able to play both Game Boy and Game Boy Colour games. -
Game Cube
The Game Cube was released in 2001. It played 3D games and unlike previous Nintendo consoles it uses discs to play games. -
Nintendo DS
The DS is the first in a line of Nintendo DS hand held devices. It was released in 2004 introduced a touch screen and stylus. -
Wii
The Wii was first released in 2006. It was extremely successful and introduced motion controls to Nintendo consoles. -
Nintendo 3DS
The Nintendo 3DS introduced 3D , similar to when watching movies to handheld devices. Players had the option to turn it off. Like its predecessor it also had touch screen and a stylus, however it added a circle pad. -
Wii U
The Wii U was released in 2012. it introduced a gamepad, giving players the option to play games on the small screen or the big screen.
