First time a women applied to an Inn
It was the first time a student was applying for an Inn solely because they were called on by the bar. The only thing was that the committee couldn't, only judges can. With the House of Lords denying her permission; 2 Benchers were in her favor meaning a great deal of improvement with the Law. -

This act basically makes it illegal for a company to discriminate against women on things like giving a man the job even though a women was better qualified for the job,they can't demote any coming back to work after leaving on paternity/maternity, and there's is absolutely no tolerance for harassment. This act is now called the Equality Act. -
