The Compromise of 1850 consists of five laws passed that dealt with the issue of slavery. Including, in 1849 California requested permission to enter the Union as a free state, which petentually upset the U.S. Senate. -

Dred Scott was a slave that went to court for his family's and his freedom when his owner went to the north. The court decided he was a slave and slaves were propertie and can be taken anywhere in the country. -
John Brown's Raid on Harper's Ferry
Jhon Brown's rain on Harper's ferry was a white albolitionists attempt on starting a slave revolt. He was charged as a terrorist attacking a military arsenal. -
Abraham Lincol Elected President
He was the sixteenth president iin the united states. Abraham Lincoln eceived only 40% of the vote but defeated the other three canidates. -
South Carolina Secedes from Union
South had forced plitical compromises by threataning to dissolve the Union. South Carolina was the first state to leave the Union.
