The French and Indian War
The French and Indian war caused Britain to become in debt, which led them to raising taxes. -
The Procolomation of 1763
This was passed by the King, forebading the colonists to migrate and settle anywhere passed the Appalachian Mountians. -

This act put a harsh tax on sugar and anything made with sugar, like molasses or coffee. -

This act put a tax on all printed paper used by the colonists. -

This act forced the colonists to house some of the British soldiers in their own homes. -

These were acts passed that applied a heavy tax on common things: glass, apint, oil, lead, paper, and tea. -
The Boston Massacre
A steet fight that occured between a patriots mob and some British soldiers. When this happened, a British officer ordered more soldiers to go into the mob, and they fired aimlessly into the crowd, killing five people. -
The Tea Act
This act was passed by the parliament. This happened when England would by tea from East India at a cheap price, and they would send it to the colonies and put a heavy tax on it. -
The Boston Tea Party
This event happened when England was bringing in tea to the Boston port, and some radical townspeople stormed the ships and tossed chests of tea into the water.
