    Established in March 12, 1947, President Harry Truman created a solution to economically aid Turkey and Greece to avoid and prevent the spread of communism from the soviet Union. A lot like the Marshall Plan created by George C. Marshall, this process is called containment.

    The Marshal Plan
    President George C. Marshall created the Marshall Plan or later refered to as European Recovery Program or ERP was put into place. Nobody is really sure when exactly the Marshall plan was founded, but most concluded it was somewhere between January 1945 and June 5th 1947. This Program was established to give Economic aid to 18 European nations.

    In August 29 of 1949, the Soviet Union was already ahead of America in military warfare. Showing off how big their bombs are, metaphorically speaking, the U.S.S.R. detonated the first nuclear bomb in a remote aria in Kazakhstan, nicknamed "First Lightning" and "Joe-1".

    Along with the Cold War and Vietnam war, this war goes down as one of the most useless wars in history. Fought 3 years between June 25th,1950- July 27th,1953, both North and South Korea started a war and after time, U.S.S.R. and China on the communist side, America, the UN even Australia on the democratic side. This war was split along the 38th paralell or the DMZ, the line that split N. and S. Korea.
