Avery Gets Engaged!!!!
Even though Avery was behind bars in jail, that never stopped him from trying to find love.
That is when he found the Las Vegas Legal secretary, Lynn Hartman, but they only met once in person; that is all it took to fall in love! https://www.thewrap.com/making-a-murderer-part-2-steven-avery-brendan-dassey/ -
Hoping for a NEW TRIAL!!
New DNA evidence from the bones suggests a possible retrial due to mishandling of evidence by the State. The remains may have been tampered with, which violates Youngblood vs Arizona and changes the trial outcome. A new trial can challenge all State cases with the latest evidence developed over the last 3 years. Mr. Avery is innocent and should be convicted a second time. https://www.newsweek.com/what-comes-next-making-murderers-steven-avery-heres-how-avery-could-be-1341666 -
Engagement was OVER before it was even started!
Not even a month after getting engaged, Lynn decided to call off the engagement to Avery because he was disrespectful and not looking to change himself for the better. Lynn had stated that Avery had an addiction to sex, and because he was in jail, he would be vulgar to Lynn, calling her horrible names that no woman should ever be called!

Another Denial After Another
Wisconsin Judge Angela Sutkiewicz ruled that no grounds would let Avery have the right to a new trial in the interest of justice.

Like a motion filing machine, Zellner will be filing a motion to vacate the judge's order to conduct further testing and hopefully amend Avery's petition with new witness affidavits. https://www.fox6now.com/news/judge-denies-steven-averys-motions-for-new-trial-in-death-of-teresa-halbach -
New Evidence Could Point to a Different Killer!
Scott Tadych was just at the wrong place at the wrong time, or so they have thought.
With a new timeline for the murder, it now shows that the victim was taken on Highway 147 after leaving Avery's property. Scott was just in the vicinity the whole time, and if he had been in the area, he would have tg known about the cut on Avery's finger to plant the evidence of blood in Halbach's car. https://www.hollywoodintoto.com/making-a-murderer-season-2-changes/ -
Motion for testing new DNA evidence!
The Wisconsin Court of Appeals rejected Zellner's request to return the case for further testing. However, Zellner has tweeted that a new DNA expert, Dr. Richard Seldon, to conduct tests on the bones found at the property using a new rapid-test method. Zellner believes that this new evidence will prove that the bones were planted to frame Mr. Avery. https://www.nbc26.com/news/local-news/making-a-murderer-update-averys-lawyer-files-motion-for-new-testing-of-bones-in-the-case -
New Witnesses and Evidenance Still Being Denied.
Steven Avery's Lawyer still going strong for her client going to the courts now with a 46-page response filed with Manitowoc County court accuses state attorneys of trying to muddy the significance of “powerful new evidence” that a third party had the opportunity and is “directly connected” to the murder of Halbach and the framing of Avery. https://www.wbay.com/2023/01/26/response-expected-thursday-steven-averys-fight-new-trial/ -

Also, with all new technological advancements and forensic DNA testing, it is now easier to guarantee that every defendant can prove their innocence under the law.

Now with a 57-page document filed Friday with the Court of Appeals, attorney Kathleen Zellner argued that the decision was in error. https://fox11online.com/news/local/steven-avery-files-new-appeal-for-conviction-in-teresa-halbach-murder-brendan-dassey-making-a-murderer-angela-sutkiewicz-trial-evidentiary-hearing-netflix-kathleen-zellner-supreme-court
