    Texians were asked to give up canon but refused. Mexican troops had to avoid physical contact, the Texians attacked and the Mexicans were outnumbered. Was the start of the Texas Revolution.

    Texians took over La Bahia.Important because they gained control of military supplies.
  • Capture of San Antonio

    Capture of San Antonio
    Texians attacked and Ben Milam was killed. Mexicans surrender and Texians own Alamo.
  • Texas Declaration of Independence

    Texas Declaration of Independence
    George Childress wrote the Declaration of Independence. Delegates at convention wrote to have independence and how they were treated. They ran out of time and fled before Mexican army found them.
  • Siege of the Alamo

    Siege of the Alamo
    Santa Anna and his troops arrive at San Antonio, Travis sends for help and receives 32 men. Texians burn their forts and the Texas government declares independence from Mexico. Santa Anna plans to attack in the morning. He wants victory and every man killed.

    Mexican troops attack from all sides. Texians are outnumbered and Travis is executed. Alamo falls and all defenders die.

    Santa Anna's arrival started panic. Women and children fled and marched with as much items as they could carry. Most died from disease and starvation, Towns of Gonzales and San Felipe de Austin were burned to save supplies from Mexicans.

    Santa Anna and his main force attack men at San Antonio and Jose Urrea with his troops moved through Southern Texas. Texians were surrounded on an open field. Texians surrendered and were put in prison. Santa Anna ordered to have the prisoners executed and the soldiers marched the prisoners to an open field and killed most but some escaped. Francita Alavez convinced a Mexican colonel to spare the lives of 20 men. She was named "Angel of Goliad".

    Battle of San Jacinto
    Texians get revenge on Mexican army, Santa Anna is captured and troops are allowed to leave. Texians won independence!
