    The Berlin Blockade prevented all land and river transit between West Berlin and West Germany. This was one of the first major international crises of the Cold War.

    NATO was formed as a union of countries from Europe and North America. It was made to guarantee freedom, and security of its members.

    This war was a conflict between North Vietnam and South Vietnam. North Vietnam ended up winning the war even though the U.S. helped South Vietnam.

    The Egyptian Government had control of the Suez Canal. Britain, France, and Israel invaded Egypt to get back control.

    This was an invasion of Cuba by many Cubans to overthrow Fidel Castro. This attempt ended up failing.

    In this event the Soviet Union cut off land access between West Germany and West Berlin. This caused a crisis and lead up to the Berlin wall being built.

    Nuclear missile sites were being built by the Soviet Union on an island on Cuba. This event almost brought the United States and the Soviet Union close to war.

    During this event many troops went and invaded Czechoslovakia. Many Czechs and Slovaks were killed, and many were wounded.
