The Warsaw pact was a reaty between eight communist states of eastern Europe: Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and the Soviet Union. This pact was actually a military treaty. The Pact was a Soviet reaction to the integration of West Germany into NATO. -

The Vietnam war was a war between communist North Vietnam and capitalist South Vietnam. The war began after the division of Vietnam by the Geneva Accords. The conflict occured in Southern Vietnam and North Vietnamese was helped out by the USSR. -

The six day war began when Israel launched surprise bombing raid against Egyptian air-fields. During the war, more and more terrorist attacks on Isreal continued. In conclusion, the Soviets provided military and economic aid to Syria in order against Jordan and Iraq. -

The Bay of Pigs was an invasion that did not go as planned and was unsuccessful. The United States attempted to overthrow the government of the Cuban dictator. It resulted in a Cuba and United States not being on the same page with one another and breaking off diplomatic relations with Cuba in January 1961. -
Fall of Berlin Wall
The Fall of Berlin Wall mostly happend overnight that was pretty violent. It was thought up of by the German Democratic Republic. The purpose of this was to completely cut off the land of West Berlin from surrounding East Germany and from East Berlin. -
Berlin Wall Goes Up
The Berlin Wall went up while East Germany began closing the border between West and East Berlin. In addition, soilders came through East Berlin during the night, destroying streets that entered into West Berlin and put up barbed wire across the border between East and West Berlin. -

During the Cuban Missle Crisis, atomic bombs were a huge threat. While The United States was ready, the soviets in Cuba were ready to use nuclear weapons to defend their island if it was attacked. As a result, Fidel Castro's position as Cuban leader became more powerful. -

The collapse of the Soviet Union resulted in the seperstion of fifteen countries. It was a victory that resulted in freedom as well. Since the end of the Soviet Union changed the entire world, the Cold War ended as well.
