It was where the US thought it would be good to give Europe $13 billion in aid to try to help their econmy. The plan was also to stop communism from spreading into Europe which gave another reason for the Soviets to be made at us. -
Berlin Airlift
The division of Berlin was one of the first issues cause the cold war which led on the the air lift. Th air lift was a path where cargo planes could go acroos the berlins without being considered a military threat. -

NATO was created to make peace and 22 countries were involved. Of coarse this made the rivalry between the US and the Soviets even stronger. This made the conflict with the cold war worse. -

This war started to stop communism from spending any further. It was more between North Korea and Sounth Korea and the US goal was to have them ojne nation by the end of the war, but thtat didn't happen. Since the Soviets were communists they backed up North Korea, in which added fuel to the fire with the Cold War. -

It was a treaty between communist states of Central and Eastern Europe during the Cold War. -

The soviet send this sphere into space to compete in the cold war's "space race". When it was up there it was suppose to used a satellite. -
Vietnam War
This war was considered a Cold War conflict or war. And again it was to stop communism from spreding. -
Bay Of Pigs
It was a plan to go into cuba and take down Prime Minister Fidel Castro. The failed failed, and just made Castro stronger and also made the Cold War conflict worse. -
The Berlin Wall Goes Up
The wall was put up to divide west Berlin from east Berlin and made out of solid concrete. Within the Cold war this wall divide communisits from the capitalists. The wall restricted a lot of freedom from the sides and very little people were aloud to cross. Most of the wall became all graphitied up. -
Cuban Missile Crisis
This was one of the biggest conflicts in the cold war and came the closest to nuclear war. The Soviets had put the missile in Cuba pointed toward the US, but the US put missles in Turkey to counter right back. They ended up having an agreement to take them both away. -
Olympic Rivalry: 1972 basketball game
This was a final rivalry match between the Soviets and the US. This was crazy since the tension with the Cold War, but the US settled for 2nd and the Sovietgs took the gold. -
1980 Olympic Hockey game
This was again a huge sport event between the Cold War rivals, the US vs the Soviets.By the end the US won the game and put the Soviets to shame. -
German Reunification/Fall of Berlin Wall
People came to the wall with sledgehammers or anything to wreck they wall and get it gone to have their freedom. A lot of celebration took place and finally thing turned for the better in Berlin. -
Collapse of the Soviet Union
The collaspe of the world's first and largest Communist state was suppose to end the Cold War. The collapse of communism there was a huge thing for the world, since a lot of countrirs were trying to stop the spred of it.
