    French & Indian War
    This war happened at the same time that the large imperial war between France and Britain was going on so it was a war in a war. Officially came to a end in 1763 with the treaty of Paris. Britain began to abuse their power in the regions in North America which they had gained. This eventually led to the American Revolution
  • Sons of Liberty

    Sons of Liberty
    The sons of Liberty was a multi groups based in both Boston and New York. All groups consisted of Instigator's and provocateur's in Colonial America, they used an extreme measure of civil disobedience threats and some cases actual violence. This was all to intimidate and rage the British Government.
  • Stamp act of 1765

    This act was made it required for colonist to pay a tax. This was represented by the stamp, and it was on various forms of papers , documents and playing card. This tax was directly imposed by the British government without the approval of the colonial legislators

    The Townshend acts was a series of acts the was passed by the English Parliament, this was shortly after the repeal of the stamp act.
    This act was used as a way to collect revenue from the Colonist in America by adding custom taxes on imports of goods such as glass, lead, painter, paper and tea.

    The Boston Massacre was a deadly riot that occurred on King Street in Boston. It all began with a few colonist and a lone British solider. It quickly turned chaotic and resulted in the deaths of 5 Colonist. This lone event paved the way for the American Revolution.

    The Boston Tea Party was a political protest that occurred at Griffins Wharf in Boston Massachusetts. American Colonist were enraged with Britain for imposing Taxation without representation. That night a total of 342 chest of tea were all pushed into the harbor. This event sparked the American Revolution.
  • Battles of Lexington and Concord

    Battles of Lexington and Concord
    The Battle of Lexington and Concord kicked off the American Revolutionary war. On the night of April 18, 1775 hundreds of British troops to nearby concord to seize an arms cache. Paul Revere and others sounded the alarm and the red coat army was met by colonist. The confrontation at Lexington town is was started off the fighting.

    When George Washington's army reigned victory against the British it marked the conclusion of the American revolutions last major battle. It gave Washington the title of a hero and then he later became President.

    The Treaty of Paris Formally ended the American Revolutionary war. Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and John Jay had negotiated with the representatives of Great Britain and both parties reached a conclusion.

    The Constitution was ratified ion many states having making it the law to every land to which ratified it. This had ranged from 1787-1788

    Following the ratification by the state of Virginia the first 10 amendments became known as law of the land. These 10 amendments, we know today as the bill of rights.
