  • 1st of May 1889

    In this time, Sir Henry Parkes had opened a bridge that people could
    use in Hawksbury river at NSW. This completed the railway for people to use to get to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane however, intercolonial transportation had interrupted.
  • The 24th of October

    In 1889, Sir Henry Parkes, the premier of NSW had performed a speech about uniting as one. Sir Henry Parkes addressed the colonies parliments so that they could join together as one Government for Australia. The other premiers responded and agreed for a discussion to be held about federating in 1890.
  • 6th - 14th of February 1890

    13 representatives of the governments colonies and New Zealand, recognized how Australia's population, wealth and self-governing had grown since 1883's convention. They had made an agreement that a national meeting would be held for consideration of a federal organization.
  • March/April 1891

    The first Australasian conference is held in 1891, Sydney. Representatives came from each colony, seven of them and three came from New Zealand. They had an agreement that they would use the name ‘Commonwealth of Australia’ and documented a constitution while aboard ‘Lucinda’, the governments yacht. On April 9, the meeting accepted draft of Constitution.
  • 1891–1894

    In Eastern Australia, many of the owned properties and banks had been crashed and, indicating the damaging economic conditions.1891-1894 was not a good time for the colonies of Australia (excluding WA), this was because of extreme economical depression.
  • 29th of January, 1895

    The Premiers of Hobart’s Conference, finally had an exception and finalized dealings. This allowed the Corowa plan to liberated and the Constitution had adopted. Many of the premiers had allowed to introduce allowing laws to be provided for elections of convention representatives and other requirements. A discussion in Hobart was also essential of the plan, they had also accepted resolution to remit the 1891 bill document.
  • 1897-1898

    In this time, the second Australasian Convention formed. It was held in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne. At this Convention, they agree to the constitution stated in 1895.
  • 29th of January-2nd of February, 1899

    In January, a ‘Secret Premiers’ Conference was held in Melbourne, Victoria. Every single premier, including QLD, had allowed for the Constitution bill to be modified so that they would accommodate the expectations of Queensland and New South Wales. Also, they had decided to make a federal capital within New South Wales.
  • 19th-21st of April, 1900

    In April, yet another premiers conference was being held in Melbourne. The premiers promoted the Australian delegation that was held in London. This confirmed commission that was intended to seek the approval the Constitution bill that was approved by the Australians.
  • 9th of March, 1901

    On the 9th of May, the duke of York had officially released the very first federal parliament in the public display (exhibition) building, in Melbourne. In Melbourne’s court house until 1927. The Constitution had given permission to citizens who could vote for less important house of their parliament. The Aboriginal citizens in the states including, SA, NSW, Vic and Tas had now gained the right to vote in this election.
