The Proclomation of 1763
*To prevent the colonists to have battles with the Indians, which would cost money, Britain passed the proclomation of 1763
*It said that the colonists were to stay in the colonies and not to go passed the Appalachain Mountains
* The colonists did not like this rule, and sometimes broke it and crossed the border -
End of the French and Indian War
- Because the French and Indian War cost lots of money, the British taxed the colonists to help pay for the war *The colonists did not have a say in the British parliament, so the colonists said it was taxation without represantation

The Stamp Act
*The stamp act was a law created by the British Parliment
*It said that for every paper item the colonists buy, they would have to pay for a stamp to use it, this included paper, playing cards, etc.
*The money went to the british troops in the colonies and the French and Indian War -
The Quartering Act
*This law required colonists to house british soldiers, and provide food, shelter, and transportaion for them at any time
*Or provide "Quarter" for the soldiers -
The Boston Massacre
- In the boston Massacre, 5 colonists were shot and killed after taunting nine British Soldiers
- After, Paul Revere Illastrated a picture of the Attack, making it look like the British Soldiers murdered the colonists
- Crispus Attucks, a black man, was the first colonist to die in the Attack

The Boston Tea Party
- The Tea Act, a law passed by the British Parilament, said that colonists could only buy tea from the British
- To show their anger for this act, the colonists disguised themselves as American Indians, and dumped 90 thousand pounds of tea into the boston harbor

The Intolerable Acts
- Because of the colonists actions in the Boston Tea Party, King George III passed a law that enabled the colonists from going to the Boston Harbor
- This event is called the intolerable acts, becuase the colonists thought that this law was intolerable!

The First Continental Congress
- Representatives from the colonies met in Philadelphia to discuss problems with the King
- They wrote a letter to the king about these problems
- When the King read their letter he threw it away and said he didn't care *This got the colonists very angry

The Declaration of Independence
- Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence to declare indepenence from great Britain
- This was the Start of the United States of America!!!!
