Boston MassacreOn March 5th 1770, a horrible event happened called the Boston Massacre. In the colonies, the British government had been trying to increase control over the colonies and were trying to increase taxes on them. The colonists were getting tired of it and one day they decided they would throw snow balls at the British soldiers. The soldiers were outraged and opened fire. During the fire, 5 colonists were killed. This fight became the turning point in the beginnings of the American Revolution. -

The Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party On Decemeber 16th, 1773 a group of Massachusetts Patriots, who were protesting the monopoly on American tea imortation recently granted by Parliament to the East India Complany, seized 342 chests of tea in a midnight raid on three tea ships and threw them into the harbor. This event occured because as a result of the Tea Act that happened on May 10, 1773. As a result of the Boston Tea Party, over 500,000 pounds of tea was thrown overboard into the harbor.
