    Blacks weren’t allowed to be citizens and he was living in a free territory and they still said he was a slave. He then went to curt and sued but the court said that blacks aren’t allowed to sue because they didn’t have citizenship.

    Confederate soldiers told the U.S. army to leave fort Sumter, but they refused so confederate soldiers opened fire and that kept happening until they surrendered. That then started the Civil War.
