  • The Missorui Compromise of 1820

    The Missouri Compromise was to regulate slavery in the country's western territories by prohibiting slavery in the former Louisiana Territory north of the parallel 36.30. north, except within the borders of the proposed state Missouri. It made people question about slavery in America
  • Nulification Crisis

    This is South Carolina was against the federal government because of tariffs. This contributed to the Civil because of the people who were angry about the placed tariffs
  • Kansas-Nebraska Act

    The Kansas-Nebraska Act was when Kansas and Nebraska came and citizens of Kansas and Nebraska could choose to have slavery or not in within there borders. The Act served to repeal the Missouri Compromise of 1820 which prohibited slavery north of latitude 36°30´. This lead to the Civil War by the citizens of Kansas disputing over slavery. This act tried to compromise tariffs.

  • Compromise of 1850

    One part of the Compromise of 1850 do was the Fugitive slave act which states slaves who've escaped to the North can be captured and brought back. This created confrontation between free and slave states
