Package of 5 seperate bills by the U.S Congress. The compromis defused a 4 year politcal confrontation between free and slave states. -
"Uncle Tom's Cabin" is first publsihed.
The author of the book is Harriet Beeche Stowe. Who was a daughter of a person who was agaisnt slavery. Then that led her to meeting many people who escaped slavery and when she did that she asked questions. Then that also led her to write a book called "Uncle Tom's Cabin". -
Kansas-Nebraska Act
When they passes the act many pro and anti slavery settles rushed to Kansas, they did that because they wanted to determine the results of it becomming a free state or not. Which then lead to violence which was known as Bleeding Kansas. -

Murdured 5 men who was settled along te Potatomie Creek in sountheastern Kansas. -

Lincoln was running for senate agaisnt Douglas and that is why he made the debate. Then when he shared it many southerners thought he was against slavery. -

JOhn was against slavery. Since he was he made a army of slaves and they took over a U.S aresenal at Harper's Ferry. He had 21 men with him when he went there. But then they w=were defeated by a platoon of U.S Marines. -

Abraham was the 16th president. Became the first republican to win the presidency. Abraham only had 40% if popular vote. But he handly defeated the other candidates. -

South Caroline was the first to seced from the U.S on December 20,1860 then followed by Mississippu, Flordia, Alabama, Georgia, Lousiana, and Texas. Feburary 8, 1861 representative of thoes states the formation of the confederate states of AMerica with the capitol Motogomary Alabama. -
Confederate Troops Fire at Fort Sumter, South Caroline
In comand of the Confederat forces around Charleston Harbor General P.G.T. Beaurgera opend fire on the union garrison holding Fort Sumter.
