French and Indian War
The French and Indian War happened when the Indians and British and colonists fought over land. This war caused Britian HUGE amount of dept and Britian started taxing the colonists to try to earn back money. -
Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 took place when the King prevented colonists from going west of the App.Trails to protect them from the Indians.This angered the colonists because they thought the King was trying to control them. -
Quartering Act
This act ordered the colonists to home, feed, and and give transportation to the British soldiers. Colonists hated this act because nobody wants to share their home with a stranger and the soldiers took over the house., -
Stamp Act
In the Stamp Act, Britian taxed the colonists for all papers, This made the colonists angrier than ever but the colonists had NO say in what the government chose to do. -
Boston Massacre
Many things went wrong during the Boston Masscre. While The colonists of Britian were already very mad, few British soldiers were standing outside gurding a building. The colonists were so angry that they started caling the soldiers names like "lobter backs" and "read coats" and were throwing snowballs at the soldiers! It got so out of hand that a soldier thought he heard his leader say to fire and shot his gun into the crowd of colonists. Everybody then started shooting and 5 colonists died. -
Boston Tea Party
Britian only bought tea from one company and that's how the Boston Tea Party began. The colonists did not like having to buy the tea so they disguised themselves as Indians and threw the tea overboard on the shipping boat.To punish the colonists the King of Britian closed the Harbor. -
First Continental Congress
The last event leading up to the American Revolution was the First Continental Congress. Delagates or the representitives got together and discussed how to solve problems with Britian. The colonies finally started working together and solved many problems.
