    The declaration of Independece stated that the 13 colonies were no longer part of the British Empire, and they were now recognized as Independent colonies. John Adams was the leader who pushed for independence and who later voted Thomas Jefferson to write the final version.

    Members of the third-estate gathered in a tennis court in Versaille after beign locked out of the Estates-General meeting. a man named Maximilien de Robespierre,who as a result of this wrote the French Constitution.
  • Storming of Bastille

    Storming of Bastille
    Members of the third estate gathered gun powder, weapons, and machinery to attack the prision of Bastille. A french symbol for royal power and superiority. This was done as a revolt to show their anger towards King Louis XVI and the hierarchy system.

    This was a war between France and Spain, UK, and Portugal over the Iberian Peninsula. It started when France and Spain occuppied Portugal, then France turned on Spain which was its ally. The war lasted until the Sixth Coalition defeated Napoleon in 1814.

    A plan created by General Count Alfred von Schlieffen the plan consisted of attacking France through Belgium first, because they were the biggest opponents. And then return to fight Russia which Schlieffen thought would take more to get to the border. This plan was not sucessful due to the attack in Belgium which took longer than expected.

    Archduke Franz Ferdinand and wife Sophie were both shot dead in Sarajevo by Gavrilo Princip. The objective of this was to break off Austria-Hungary's provinces. This is known as the event that caused WWI due to the start a rivalry between Austria-Hungary and Serbia.

    The sinking of the RMS Lusitania was caused by Germany through a German U-Boat. This was an americaan boat heading to the United Kingdom and due to the deaths of more than 1,000 americans the blame fell on Germany. This is known as the event that caused the involvement of USA on WWI.
