Research
Our research was merely found via the internet - mainly search engines like Google, Youtube, Wikipedia, etc. We also used Prezi: an online slideshow maker for our presentations. We also used blogging, in order to record our research and present it in a visually interesting way.
This has helped me a lot as a media producer as it has shown me that the online cyclopedia can provide one with overwhelming amounts of information which can help you in many ways. It could inspire your production ideas. -
Planning
For our planning, we made storyboards by drawing them, so no technology was used. However, we concluded to create an animatic, including Final Cut Pro, anda digital still camera. We also used TimeToast to adequately record our production schedule that we were urged to follow due to appoaching deadlines. Some also used Wordle to create a mind map of the props we wish to get hold of and use while filming. Finally, we used Blogger, through the internet to blog all our planning ideas down. -
Costruction: Filming
We used a huge variety of different technologies when filming our opening scenes. We used a TVC HD Cam, LED Light, Microphone for sound, a flip camera, a digital still camera and our phones for any other important information we needed to take ahold of. -
Construction: Editing
For the editing of our final media product, we used Final Cut Pro in order to create a continuous sequence for our teen films. We then used HandBrake as a converter of the file. Handbrake enabled us to upload our film onto the Blogger, increasing out distribution. We also used Creative Commons through the internet as a search engine for uncopyrighted music to use in our films as non-diagetic sound. -
Construction: Editing (2)
Some of us used a voice recorder if our films required a voice over instead of just music. And we all used the multiscreen which is the professional way of editing a film sequence which we learnt how to use. -
How has technology helped you develop as a media producer?
My use of the big variety of technology has helped me develop extremely as a media producer. It has widened my outlook and has opened my eyes to the depth of film making. An idea for a film can be easily created, but then it has to be expanded into a real film and there are so many elements and aspects that have to be considered. So many things can go wrong. If you have no financial backing, then you are prone to many odds. It has opened my eyes within the film industry.
