    Peace of Ausgburg
    Gave Germans the availability to involve Lutheranism and Catholicism. This stopped conflict between the two religions but did not leave any room for any other protestant religions such as calvinism. Each prince in the district chose which religion their district would be, but of you wanted to be the opposite, you could move to a different district.

    French Wars of Religion

    Conflicts in France involving Roman Catholics and Protestants. Because of the spread of calvinism, the french ruler decided to show more resentment towards protestants in France (the Huguenots). Essentially by the end there was a treaty which allowed for protestants, in france, to have freedom of worship.

    Bartholomew's Day Massacre
    King Charles IX's wife ordered all of the Protestant rulers in France to be killed off. This performed by the Roman Catholics and other citizens as well.

    The Edict of Nantes brought the French Wars to an end. This gave protestants freedom to worship. This went hand in hand with Henry VIII's conversion from Huguenot Catholicism to Roman Catholicism.

    One of the Longest most brutal wars in the history of the world. There were more than 8 million casualties caused by not only war, but disease and illness. The war started due to conflict between catholics and protestants, but then pivoted from religion and became more about who would rule over Europe.

    This peace treaty ended the 80 Years' War as well as the 30 Years' war.
