    Fall of the Roman Empire

    Fall of the Roman Empire
    Romulus, the final emperor of Rome, was overthrown by the Germanic leader Odoacer, who became the first Barbarian to rule in Rome. Rome was invaded by barbarians tribes and their government went corrupt. This is only a few of the reason that Roman empire ceased.

    The Middle Ages (The Dark Ages)
    The time that is between the Fall of the Roman Empire and the start of the Renaissance. This is where people did nothing because nothing was being mad and no great leaders where being born. During this period, people's lives were centered around the church.

    The Crusades

    The Europeans declared that they were living in a new age and that the Middle ages were over and renamed the time period as the Renaissance (Re-birth). This was the time of new modern thinking where new people could pronounce their ideas.

    When rural societies in Europe and the U.S. became industrial and urban. This is when factories came in to the world which gave peoples jobs and allowed mass production of an object. the people that had jobs at the factories didn't have a safe working environment and they were paid very poorly.

    French Revolution

    With the involvement of the American revolution and the extravagant spending by King Louis XVI and his predecessor had left the country on the brink of bankruptcy. A historical revolution in France that led to the end of monarchy and too many wars. The people who were poor and starving executed their king and queen with the new invention of the century. The Guillotine was used to execute King Louis XVI and his wife Marie Antoinette which was the end to the monarchy in France.

    WWI

    The first world war started on July 28, 1914 after the assassination of the Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, and the tenuous peace between Europe’s great powers quickly collapsed. The U.S joined the war later on. They where trying to stay neutral in the war until a German U-boat sank a passenger ship. The U.S joining the war and them being allies with Great Britain resulted in a victory. The war ended on November 11, 1918.

    WWII

    Adolf Hitler and his National socialist (Nazi party) took over the nation and then gained an allied friendship with Italy and Japan. Their plan was to have world domination. The U.S.A wasn't apart of the war until December 7, 1947 when Japan bombed pearl harbor. The U.S was trying to stay isolated from the war until the attack. The U.S allied with Great Britain, France, and the Soviet Union (the allied powers). In result the Axis powers failed and the war was over on September 9, 1945.

    The Cold War

    Americans had long been wary of Soviet communism and concerned about Russian leader Joseph Stalin’s tyrannical, blood-thirsty rule of his own country. The USSR threatened the U.S with Nuclear missiles. This lead to the production of nuclear missiles and the U.S threatening the USSR with their missiles. The Russians then allied with Cuba and the planted a base in Cuba that had nuclear missiles there and then threaten to fire them at the U.S. Non where ever fired.

    The foramation of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).
    The Soviet Union and its affiliated Communist nations in Eastern Europe founded a rival alliance, the Warsaw Pact. These were alliances that the USSR had and the allied nations had.

    Fall Of The Berlin Wall
    The Berlin wall was built in 1961 and was used to separate the east and west part of Germany. The USSR owned the western part of Germany. As the Cold War came to an end, the spokesman for East Berlin’s Communist Party announced a change in his city’s relations with the West. He said citizens were free to cross the wall and the people of Germany took apart the way piece by piece.

    The communist party became wealthy as their people became poorer and started starving. Another reason of the collapse of the soviet union was the breaking of the Berlin wall which separated Western Germany from Eastern Germany.
