Étienne de Veniard, Sieur de Bourgmont comes to Nebraska
He was a french explorer. He explored and documented his experiences on the missouri and platte river. He was the one who named Nebraska after an Oto word. Nebraska means flat water. -

Spanish military general went to check on frances impacts on their new land. He got jumped by indians and most of his people died. -
