King Philip War Begings
For about 40 years after the Pequot War, The New England settlers and Nativbes had good relationship. By trading with one another that also created peace. But in 1670's the fur trade declined, colonial government began to demand that Natives follw their laws and customs. This angered the Natives, they thought they were trying to destory thier way of life. Tension arosed when when 3 Natives were killed which started the Native War. -
Bacon's Rebellion
A wealthy land owned named Nathaniel Bacon started a rebellion after his land was raided and destroyed by indians. His over seer was killed in the process. He then made an army of 400-500 men to kill all indians. Berkeley did not grant this, but bacon went ahead with it anyway. -
