Greek people seek to end centuries of Ottoman rule. Badly divided, they fought several very bloody battles. The greeks have support of romantic writers and the sympathy of other nations fighting with them. -

When his brother and first French throne successor, Louis XVIII,ied, Charles X took power. Charles was a firm believer in absolutism. This idea rejected the way of the charter. He suspended the legislature, limited the right to vote, and restricted the press. -
Ottomans give the Serbs Complete control
Ottomans give Serbs complete control over their own affairs and internal affairs. This was not recognized by the rest of Europe until 1878. -
Greece is Independent.
After long, hard battles with the Ottomans. Greece's allies Britain France and Russia forced the Ottomans to grant independence to the greeks. -

The "Pear, and "The Citizen" King. He was chosen because Liberals didn't like radicals. They wanted a constitutional monarchy. Although it was a constitutional monarchy, not many changes had taken place. -
June Days
June days were three days of rebellion against the government from male workers in France. They fought for male suffrage and national workshops. Despite this, they still lost to the national guard, and at least 10,000 died. -
