The Last Supper
The Last Supper is understood to be the first occurrence of eucharist, this happened when Jesus was saying goodbye to his disciples and asked them to drink his 'blood' and take his 'body' and eat it. the blood is represented by wine and along with the bread as a representation of Jesus' body are symbols of nourishment. -
