  • Colonizing

    A small group of people who were escaping a war colonized on an island
  • Anarchy

    After a week of colonizing the land the small group broke out into anarchy and fought each other over scarce resources
  • Peace

    One colonists decided that the week long anarchy must stop or all colonists would end up dead
  • Monarchy

    The colonist who established peace after a two day deliberation with all others decided that the only way do maintain peace was to have one leader. All of the colonists voted on whom they wanted to be the leader and chose the peace maker
  • Period: to

    Monarchies reign of power

    The monarchies power was passed down three times before it was abruptly ended
  • Dictatorship arises

    The monarchy ended when the third passing of power occurred. This is due to the fact that the third generation was sick of his family being dictated by the others in the society. They decided that they would rule the island by installing fear into anyone who tried to oppose them.
  • Civil Unrest

    After twenty years under a harsh dictator the citizens have had enough abuse and poverty while the dictator needlessly uses their resources for pleasure. The citizens have planned a revolt in which they will regain power.
  • Period: to

    Civil War

    The citizens had not expected that a small percentage of them agreed with the dictators way of ruling. This cause both groups to endure a year long bloody civil war against each other.
  • End of War

    After a year of fighting the dictatorship and the people agreeing with the dictatorship are overthrown from their positions of power
  • Deliberation

    The remaining citizens have decided that leaving one person to govern them all will always have horrible consequences. The hold a week long deliberation where they must decide what form of government will work best for them.
  • New Government Arises (Oligarchy comes into power)

    The citizens have decided that the only way to keep peace is to split the power evenly among the five most educated members in their society.
