Fernando’s supporters
Part of Madrid, persuaded by Fernando supporters, went to Aranjuez to oppose to the placement change of the court and to claim Fernando as the new king. -
Napoleon invades Spain
- Peninsular War: The French were opposed by the British, Spanish and Portuguese forces in the Iberian Peninsula. Even though Napoleon’s struggle with it was eventually one of the pieces for his downfall, at the moment it didn’t have much effects on the progress of french affairs in Central and Eastern Europe.
