Erikson's Timeline
Erikson is a German- American, known as the physiologies of human being, infancy to the adulthood in life. His theory was based on the social and cultural values of people's environment. -
Early Childhood
The early childhood of Erikson's theory, about age 8 for preschool year. This stage developing onto initiative vs guilt of children, who affected by their own environments. Children started to assert the power and controls of the motor skills through play, make capable to lead the others.
The crisis of early childhood are: if the children who did not succeed in this stage, they feel guilt, and lack of initiative for their possibility. -
Adolescence
It's generally started by age 10 to 19, most of their teenage or as known as young adult. It essentially defines about personal identity vs confusions. Teenagers develop on, ego personality, that is mostly for facing the truth.
If the children in this stage has failed, teenage groups would harshly find of what they interest, want, or even possibilities for themselves. In the failure of this stage, children does not believe, insecure, and confused. -
Early Adulthood
This stage is started by age 20 to 40 in the life development. In this stage, intimacy vs isolation is developed. The goal is to lead the strong relationship with others. Erikson believed that the self identifications is build up, a intimacy, relationships with other.
If someone is failed to be on a stage, he/she might apart by social, or environmental events, depressions by their feelings of isolated.
