Baroque music is known for its magnificent, dramatic and energetic spirit. This was the era where the orchestra developed and when the violin was invented. Romantic Era 1830-1900
This era was when musicians started putting their own feelings into their songs. It wasn’t always about love so they used to put their feelings on various other things too. They used instruments such as the flute, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, piano and more. Some famous musicians were Johannes Brahms, Franz Liszt, Richard Wagner and more. -
20th Century 1900-2000
This was the era when common musical rules came up and were removed. It was also when people started to make music in different genres. Most of the genres were Jazz, Hip-Hop, Rap, rock and pop. They used various instruments like the piano, guitar, cello, violin, flute, saxophone, trombone, drums and more. Some popular musicians are Frank Sinatra, Cliff Edwards, Alberta Hunter and a lot more. -
Modern Era 2000-Present
This was when plagiarism started and people started copying tunes or songs that were made in the 1800’s or maybe even older. During the start of this era, musicians made mostly garage rock songs. Some popular musicians in this era are Eminem, Coldplay, The Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys and more. Nowadays people use computers to compose music but some musicians like to do it the old school way.
