Clean Air Act

1963

The Clean Air Act passed by the U.S. Congress in 1963. It is similar to EPA, but instead of land and water, their job is to protect and enhance the air quality.

Earth Day

The date of the first Earth Day celebration in the U.S. On that day, 20 million Americans in park and streets took protest about critical environmental issues.

Nuclear accident

Mar 28, 1979

Occur in Three Mile Island. It was the most serious accident in the U.S. for a nuclear power plant. Nuclear core damaged, radiation was released, and thousands of resident leave that area to look for a better environment place.
