    The main source of shipping goods by way of sea had shifted from the Mediterrainian Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. This was wonderful for the English due to their access points. This helped their country roll in the cash.

    King Charles II issues a royal document of indulgences. This caused an uproar in parliament, for monarchs did not posses the power to make or overturn laws.

    King Charles II dies at the age of 54 years. He was succeeded by James II (Stuart family)
