There were three tribes that were Germanic they were the Angles, the Saxons and the Jutes. They conquered Britain and they spoke a language called Englisc which is where the word English comes from. The Angles were also came from a place called Englaland which where the word England came from. This is where the Origin of the English Language came from. -
