English and slaves travel to the Caribeans
Slave Trade was began in the 17th century, where one of the biggest svlave trades went through the Triganle trade. The triangle trade is also how the english language traveled to the Caribieans. Because Creole arrived in the Caribeans in 1620’s, Creole is a simplified english that was spoken between sailors and slaves on their journey to the Caribeans from Africa. The slaves later started to use english words together with their native language. -
English through criminals to Australia
English traveled to Australia through ‘The First Fleet’ that arrived at Port Jackson (Sydney city) in 1788, ‘The First Fleet’ was a fleet of ships that held about 780 English people. Many of these people were criminals that were sent to Australia as their punishment for their crime, they were no longer allowed to return to England. The people sent to Australia often lost their regional British accents, which resulted in a few variations in the accent different across all Australia.
