Section 6 - The Death of Lennie
Passage #1
When I first read this passage, it set the tone for what I was about to read. It gave me a perfect picture of what was going on, even though it was only four lines. It had enough detail to create that picture in my head but wasn't over-saturated. Reading it for the first time lead me to believe that it was just setting the scene as calm and mellow, but then throws in a bit of reality, exposing what nature really is and that not everything is as good as it seems at the start.
