The triangle trade began in the 17th century. Ships would load up with guns and manufacture goods in britian and then sail for four months to west africa. From this the Britians got slaves from the africans. They worked as slaves and didnt get payed or food. The ships loades up with sugar, cotton and tobacco and sailed back to England.England became very powerful. we do know that the slaves used english words and they mixed with there native language.English was spoken by the sailors and slaves -
First Fleet
The first fleet arrived in Port Jackson, Port Jackson is a part of Sydney. MThe first fleet was fleet of 11 ships which held about 780 english people. But this was not free people some of them were criminals and were transported, transported means that they got sent from England to australia and was not allowed to return to England. When many englishmen settled there, more people began to speak english and the language became bigger.
