In 1600 Britian started trade with India because they wanted resources like spices. English started to be the languges you used when you where trading. However some english word can mean one thing for britians and a other thing for Indian. -
Caribbean
English arrived in the Caribbean with settler in the 1620's. When you started tradeing slaves and resources with boats and ships. The slaves started to mix up the english words and their native language. So thats why they started to talk more english in Caribbean. -
Australia
Britian send 780 englsih people who some of them were criminals and transported for life to Australia. So there punishment was to be send to there and never come back. So some words that they used back then are still used now.
