Alexander the Great conquered Egypt in the year of 332. He became the pharaoh and was instantly praised as a god there. When Alexander had died, his close friend named General Ptolemy became the ruler. He created his own dynasty and ruled it for 300 years. -

Tutankhamun is easily the most famous king of Egypt. Just for the reason his remains were found in 1922 by British archaeologists. He was only 18 when he died in 1322. He was burried with many treasures that still astonish the normal person. -

Queen Hatshepsut was one of the few queens of Egypt. The only reason she ruled was because her husband was the ruler before. He was also her half brother. She built one of the most famous tombs in the Valley of Kings. -

After being conquered, Egypt became a part of the Roman Empire. This was a part of the modern era Roman Empire for the time being. -
Cleopatra VII
Cleopatra was the last pharaoh of Egypt. As ruler, she did end up having a child with Julius Caesar. That did not work out in his favor because it showed that he wanted to be king, so he was killed in the year 44 B.C. -
Rosetta Stone
Rosetta Stone is a stone slab that shows three types of writings. These writings are Greek, Egyptian hieroglyphics, and Demotic. Demotic is a cursive form of Egyptian writing. -
Split Empire
The Roman empire split into West and East and Egypt became part of the Byzantine Empire. This happened in a short time spawn. -
Pyramid Writings
Spells were written on the walls of King Unas in Saqqara. These were thought to protect the dead king from danger. I put this in my timeline because it shows their belifies in the afterlife. -
The Giza Pyramids
The Giza Pyramids were built for the kings Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure. These pyramids are located across the Nile River by the modern day Cairo, Egypt. The tallest of these pyramids is 146 meters tall and was built for Pharaoh Khufu. -
First Pyramid
The first Egyptian pyramid was built. This pyramid named Step Pyramid, in Saqqara for King Zosser. King Zosser was one of the kings of the Third Dynasty. -
Joined Kingdoms
King Menes joins Upper and Lower Egypt together. With this they both combine to one kingdom. The capitol of this kingdom still remains Memphis. -
First Civilization
The first official civilization began when King Menes founded the first Egyptian Dynasty. These people are descendents of the first people along the Nile River Delta. -
Dynasties and Hieroglyphics
The first and second dynasties ruled over Egypt. They started using hieroglyphics. Hor-Aha was named the first king of the dynasties. The first dynasty is called Memphis, which is located in Lower Egypt. Which was established as the capitol of Egypt at the time. -
First Hieroglyphics
Egyptian kings used hieroglyphics for many things. They needed to keep records of food distribution and trade. They wrote these hieroglyphics on walls and special scrolls made of papyrus plant. -
First People
Evidence of the first people settled along the Nile River Delta. These people survived by using the delta for everything
