  • Improving America's Schools Act

    President Clinton signed this act, which included a seciton discussing technology. In it, it discusses a national technology education plan.

  • Goals 2000

    Through the Educate America Act, the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Educational Technology is created.

  • Telecommunications Act of 1996

    This new law included the internet in the boradcasting spectrum.

  • Technology Literacy Challenge Fund

    President Clinton created this fund, which would span five years and contain $5 billion. All of this would go toward helping schools in the states.

  • E-Rate

    The FCC enacted the E-Rate program.

  • Interactive White Board

    This is when the Children's Internet Protection Act went into effect. This law deals with E-Rate and internet safety policies for technology.
