Alice Paul
In 1912, Alice Paul was appointed chair of the NAWSA Congressional Committee. She led the women's suffrage movement and helped pass the 19th Amendment which allows women to vote. National Park Service -

Indian Citizenship Act
The Indian Citizenship Act was made June 2nd, 1924. This allowed for all natives to become citizens of the United States. Library of Congress -
24th Amendment
The 24th Amendment was ratified on January 23rd, 1964. It was known as the "Elimination of poll taxes." Poll taxes were fees you had to pay in order to vote, making it harder for poor people to vote. Luckily, the 24th Amendment abolishes and forbids the federal and state governments from imposing taxes on voters during federal elections. Regan Library -

The Voting Rights Act was passed on August 4th, 1965. This act allowed to remove race-based restrictions on voting, allowing all people of color to vote. National Archive -
26th Amendment
The 26th Amendment passed by Congress on March 23, 1971 and ratified on July 1, 1971. This Amendment allowed for citizens over 18 to vote. The Americans with Disabilities Act was passed on July 26th, 1990. This act allows Americans with disabilities to have certain accommodations to make employment, transportation, and communication easier. National Gov -
Help America Vote Act
The Help America Vote Act was passed in 2002. This act allowed federal funding to the states to implement a statewide voter registration system, replace punch card voting machines, improve voter education and poll worker training, permit voters to cast provisional ballots. EAC GOV -
Florida Amendment 4
