    January 24th, 1915; The battle of Dogger Bank was the next big war in World War I it started by decoding an intercepted German message beginning the battle, The Germans started to retreat and escape the British, they used long-range gunfire and Germans SMS Blucher cruiser gets sunken while the British HMS lion is damaged.

    Andrews wrote his first letter to his family in October 1917, and he wrote many letters while in the war. Many of them let his family know how he is doing and let them know he’s safe.

    In September 1918, Edgar got a disease called rheumatism the disease was caused by Andrews living down in the trenches for so long. For a while, Andrews was in a hospital because of the disease.

    February 6 - March 21, 1918 Edgar and all of his division were put on the front lines which was seen as the quiet sector While on the front lines, Edgar and the rest of his division saw a lot of death and destruction.

    From April 3rd - June 28, 1918, Edgar and his division were assigned to Toul-Boucq while they were here for 3 months they were they had to stand Artillery barrages, and raids from the Germans, and on April 20 they had to stand a 36-hour artillery barrage.

    From July 15th - August 6, 1918, they loaded the 102nd Machine gun onto the trains. Edgar and his division went to the City Of Lights then kept going and were put into counterattacks and needed to destroy the salient throughout this Edgar had to go through intense fighting for 5 days and was able to get an allied victory.
