Eva and Miriam were born in the village of Portz, Hungary.

In 1940, the Hungarians took over Romania. Eva talks about them coming to her village and meeting the Hungarian army "at the top of the hill".

On this date, the camp of Auschwitz started to be built.

The actual date of Eva's grandmother's death is not known.

Restrictions are put on Jews. Such as where they can and can't go, and procedures they must follow in order to do things. They also couln't hire Aryans or Christians to work for them.

This is when the trains of Jews started arriving at Auschwitz.

In late 1943, Eva's mother becomes very ill with typhoid fever. A Jewish lady came to live with them to help them since their mother was sick. Their mother was so weak, she couldn't turn in the bed.

Eva and her family are put under house arrest and had to wear the yellow Star of David on their clothing.

In October of 1943, Eva's parents decide to try to escape their house before they were taken away. Because this was around the same time all the Jews were put on house arrest, before they could leave their yard, they were caught and escorted back to their house.

For most of the winter in 1943 and 1944, Eva's mother was in bed because she was very ill with typhoid fever.

Eva's older sisters had a tutor who came to live with them and helped her sisters in German, art, music, drawing, and history because, due to the house arrest, they could not leave to continue their schooling.

In March of 1944, two Hungarian gendarmes came to their house in a buggy and told them they needed to get enough food and clothes for two weeks because they were going to be taken to a transportation center from which they would go to a labor camp. This process was also known as resettlement.

There is no exact date in May when they were taken to Auschwitz.

In early May, Eva and her family had been in the ghetto for about five weeks. The ghetto was in Szilagysomlyo and contained 7,000 people. They were told to leave everything behind because they were going to be resettled to a labor camp.

In the summer of 1944, the allied countries were dropping bombs around the concentration camps. They were careful not to hurt the Jews in the camps though. They would make a huge yellow smoke circle above the part of the camp where there were people and that would be where they wouldn't drop the bomb.

On January 27, 1945, Eva and Miriam get the news they they are finally free. A woman runs into their barrack and shouts, "We are free! We are free! We are free!"

Eva and Miriam stay with Mrs. Csenghery from February of 1945 to September of 1945. This was after they were freed from the camps.

On May 7, 1945 Germany surrenders to the Wester Allies, which where Great Britian, France, the Soviet Union, and the United States.

After they stay with Mrs. Csenghery, they stay with their real aunt.

In 1946, Eva and Miriam began experiencing health problems from being at Auschwitz. They were suffering from malnutrition because their systems were so weak. They had lots of colds and allergic reactions. They developed pimples on their arms that turned into huge, two-inch scars.

In 1946, there was a rumor going around Eva's high school that told about a Jewish vampire that was going around and stalking people and sucking their blood as they walked the streets.

In 1947, Russia becomes communist.

In 1947, the Mozes family farm was confiscated by the Rumanian Government.

In May of 1948, Eva's club participated in a May Day Parade. Eva was the leader of 30 children. In the morning they marched as pioneers in the parade, then at noon they were to go to a picnic with their group, then at night they were supposed to march in a torchlight parade. Eva knew that there was a long time in between the torchlight march and the picnic, so she decided to let the kids go home after the picnic to study since they had a test the next day. She lost her position in the club.

On one days in 1948, the police came to Eva's and Miriam's aunt's door and took their uncle away. They had no idea what was happening or why he was being taken away.

In 1950, Eva and Miriam arrive in Israel with their aunt and unvle and meet some of their family members who live there. They're basically starting a whole new life. They can be with other children who won't make fun of them because they are also Jewsih. They don't have to act mature, because they can be with kids their own age.

At the end of 1952, after two years of being in the Youth Alihya Village/School in Israel, Eva enlists herself in the Israeli army.

Sometime in 1955, in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, Eva read a witness statement signed by Hans Muench who was a Nazi doctor and she asked him to admit to the crimes committed at Auschwitz.

Sometime in the 1960's Eva moves to the U.S. with her american husband, who was also a holocaust survivor and they have two kids: Alex Kor and Rina Kor.

Sometime in 1985 Eva and MIriam compared notes from their times at the camp. They found out that when Eva was sick and was taken to the camp hospital, Miriam was kept under SS watch at all times. It was like they were waiting for something to happen to Eva.

Sometime in 1987 MIriam dies of kidney failure.
