Fort Tejon earthquake
The 1857 Fort Tejon earthquake occurred at about 8:20 a.m. this occuared on january 9th which is one of the largest earthquakes to ever occaur. The magnitude was 7.9 and it was in the central of southren california, Most of the adobe buildings at Fort Tejon were badly damaged and several people were injured there. More buildings were destroyed along a twenty-mile stretch. -
Laguna Salada earthquake
the Laguna Salada earthquake was at 11.20pm in 1892, this earthquake was in Laguna Salada and also had a Magnitude of 7.3,no damage was found in Los Angeles, but also specified that severe shocks were felt in San Diego, this earth quake was in 1892. -
San Jacinto/Hemet earthquake
the San Jacinto/Hemet was in 1899 at 4.25am, the earthquake had a Magnitude of 6.7. Damage was severe, Many but not all brick buildings in the Hemet and San Jacinto were demolished. The earthquake was in Southern California on April 21. -

the Long Beach earthquake was in 1933 at 5.54pm, this earthquake had a magnitude of 6.4, it was in long beach california on march 10th, it caused 120 deaths as destroying buldings. -

Loma Prieta earthquake
the Loma Prieta earthquake was on october 7th 1989, the San Francisco bay area was hit bye the Lomo Prieat earthquake. This had a magnitude of 6.9. the shock was responsible for 63 deaths and 3,757 injuries. Damage was heavy in Santa Cruz County. -
Parkfield earthquake:
the Parkfield earthquake was in California which occuerd on september 28th 2004, this earthquake had a magutide of 6.0. The quake caused no injuries and minimal property damage, but was of great interest to American geologists.
