    English Settlers tried to completly destroy the Pequot Indians at the village of Mystic. This shows the Native Americans that peace with white settlers was impossible.

    This act legalized the taking of Indian scalps for money. This act was meant to destroy the Delaware Indian tribe.
  • Slave Trade Ends on the United States

    Slave Trade Ends on the United States
    The 1807 act ended the legality of all international slave trade with the U.S. But Slavery itself ended around the end of the Civil War and the adoption of the 13th Amendment.

    Presidential act that frred slaves in the rebelling staates. This was the first step ending slavery in the United States.

    Constitution Amendmendment that ends slavery in the United States.
  • Dred Scott Decision.

    Dred Scott Decision.
    Dred Scotts master moved him to a free state and then back to a slave state. Dred Scott sued, saying that since he had lived in a free state he was a free man. The Supreme Court says Dred Scott can't sue because slaves aren't citizens of the United States.

    Conflict at Wounded Knee was orginally a battle but was more like a avoidable massacre. It was U.S. military troops and Lakota Sioux Indians and resulted in the deaths of 300 Sioux men. women, and children. It was the last major battle of the Indian Wars.
