    Was a pretty unstable time of leadership.

    Qin Dynasty

    Whipped China into shape but with more brutality then some people supported. Built Great Wall of China and Terra Cotta Army.

    Han Dynasty

    Mostly followed the ideas of the Qin but with a lot less brutality. Also were close believers of Confucianism.

    First time women were first used for manual labor of the kind.

    The emperor pushed too hard for his people to be quick, only took twenty years, but causes a lot of death- which in turn brought their downfall.

    Rebellion caused Xuanzong and his family to retreat, major outside religious suppression.

    Named this because of the constant and many changes of leadership during the time span.

    Era of prosperity, entrepreneurship, development of new crops and technology, new lifestyles and careers. Some improved rights for women. For women beauty standards and societal ideas started to be highly pushed onto them.

    Mongols constantly trying to invade

    39 years they tried to invade the Song dynasty. First time explosives were used in combat.

    Became the first commoner emperor. After he had become a monk at the age of 16 and was then thrown from the monastery. Then wandered and begged around China until he joined a rebellion (1352).
    Was kinda like the democrats of today and/or Robin Hood. Wanted to take from the rich and give to the poor.
