    One of the Incas greatest achievements was the building of the city Machu Picchu. It was settled in the mountains and spread over five miles. It never got finished though due to the Spanish invasions which brought smallpox.

    The Inca built a road system that expanded over 14,000 miles in total. It started sometime in the mid-1500s. The roads had military stations at places to take news and any messages to reach other parts of the Empire.

    Two years earlier Emperor Huayana died without telling his two sons who were going to be the new emperor. They both got armies and started the war and it lasted five years, Finally, Atahualpa was victorious and claimed the throne.

    The Spanish brought smallpox to the Inca Empire when they invaded it. The epidemic wiped out most of the Incan civilization. It spread along the roads everywhere.

    He came in and wanted to conquer the Incan Empire. He captured and executed the emperor and took over the empire.

    After conquering and executing the emperor, Atahualpa. He took over the empire but he died and the Inca were still going. He died by a group of people who followed a man named Diego de Almagro II.
