The pilgrims first arrive in America. This shows the beginning of the new world and a new civilizatoin. -
Boston Tea Party
A group of Boston rebels disguised as "indians" and dumped 18,000 pounds of the tea into the Boston Harbor. It was a kick start to the Revolution so Americans could be independent. -
Independence
They sign the Declaration of Independence. This is the start of America. -
George Washington
he was the first president of the Unioted States. It started our way of government and is still used and remembered today. -
Telegraph
Samuel Morse sends the first telegraph message. It was the beginning of new technology and it showed the expansion of technology to come. -
Women's Rights
Women tried to have their own rights as equal as men. So they held the Women's Rights Convention. It marked the improvement for America and equilization among genders. -
Abraham Lincoln
He pledged to halt slavery. He won with less than half the popular vote and no votes from south. He was a hero for everyone today at ending the slavery movement. -
Civil War
It was the war between the south and the north over slavery and land. The nation's identity forged divisions but the US remained strong. this was a huge improvement on the American traditions. -
Battle of Gettysburg
It made the country realize that its not a bunch of states together but a unified nation.
