Linkedin was created to help seek jobs and have colleagues and mentors leave recommendations to uphold their credibility. This invention is still frequently used to this day, it is very much enhanced into our daily lives. -

Skype was created by Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis. The main goal of the creation of Skype was so that people could use the application to help reduce the cost of voice calls. -

Facebook was created by the one and only man, Mark Zuckerberg. Facebook is the biggest media platform used today. It was created to help people be into contact and share there life goals and events. But to this day it has developed to be used to sell things, live events and even used for dating. -
YouTube
YouTube was created by Jawed Karim, Chad Hurley, and Steve Chen. YouTube started out as people making funny videos and posting them, but it has developed into a larger platform. It is now being used for jobs, tutorials, and teaching people new things via videos. -

Tumblr was created by David Karp, his intention for creating the application was to act as a microblogging and as a social platform.
